Padding thermal insulation

Thermal insulation will keep young skiers at the right temperature, neither too hot nor too cold. The garment adapts to the body’s physical activity and to the outside environment. Wedze usesfill for insulation to keep the body warm. The fill is a synthetic component made from polyester, which stores more or less air, depending on the length of the fibers. The thicker the fill, the more air it contains and the warmer it is.

Coating treatment

The coating is a waterproofing substance spread over the inside of the jacket and pants’ outer fabric. It prevents water from seeping into the garment but allows water vapor produced by the body’s physical activity to escape. This way, young kids stay dry and are more comfortable.

Taped main seams

In addition to waterproof fabric, we have made this suit even more watertight by taping the seams. These are waterproof, adhesive strips taped to the inside seams of the garment to make it perfectly watertight. These taped seams are in the areas most exposed to snow. On this ski suit, this means the shoulders, chest, and seat.

Durability

Because sharp skis and games in the snow can sometimes damage or cut the bottom of the ski suit, we have added high-performance reinforcements to prevent tearing. These reinforcements are on the most exposed areas: knees, seat, lower legs, and also the mitten palms.

PULL’N FIT ZIP Concept on the legs and arms

The innovative PULL’N FIT concept makes it easy to adjust the leg length of the pants and jacket so that they adapt to the kid’s body shape. You just need to raise up the zippers at the ankles for shorter pants. A buttonhole system inside the sleeve lets you adjust the length of the sleeve and mitten. So kids are equipped for at least a couple of years!

Customization

There’s a label at the top of the lining you can write the kid’s name on to personalize the product. Handy when you want to find your jacket at ski school, nursery, or school.

To make sure you stay warm and dry, we recommend using the 3-technical-layer rule: Layer 1 or 2nd skin, to stay dry. Layer 2 or an insulating layer, to keep the heat in. Layer 3 or a protective layer, to protect against bad weather.

How should kids dress to avoid getting cold legs on the slopes?

To keep your legs warm and dry, 2 layers of clothing are enough:
1 ski base layer to wick away perspiration and 1 pair of ski pants to protect from the weather and provide warmth.
