Fleece component: Insulated with air

The mission of the fleece component is to trap air via the volume created by its texture (and the brushing of the knit).
This air acts as a natural insulator, keeping the body warm.

Our environmental approach: Recycled polyester

By using recycled polyester, no new petroleum-based resources are used. The waste is recycled into resources that can be used again.

Component durability

We conduct numerous laboratory tests to validate the highest standards in terms of durability: a resistance test to abrasion and friction to ensure that the fleece does not pill, a colorfastness test to check the behavior and resistance of the colors, and an aging test to check that repeated washing does not alter the properties of the fabric, its behavior, its thickness, or its appearance.

Product design: our expertise

Our Quechua global design center is based in Passy, at the foot of Mont-Blanc in Haute Savoie.
This location makes it a real meeting place for our teams (designers, product managers, engineers, etc.) and outdoor sports enthusiasts.

Determining the environmental impact of our products

A product’s environmental impact is calculated over its entire lifecycle using various indicators.
A score from A to E is produced to help you make a responsible choice.
This rating is used to easily identify the products with the best environmental performance.
This is done by making a comparison between products of the same family (e.g. backpacks).
Decathlon is a voluntary supporter of this environmentally-friendly labeling approach.

Main fabric : 100.0% Polyester cationic

Warmth : Double-sided microfleece. Its density of 7.1 oz/m² ensures optimal comfort

Ecodesign : Product made from recycled polyester from plastic bottles

Breathability : Polyester knit: allows the vapor produced by the body to escape (RET=6.3)

Lightweight : Only 6.2 oz in size 10-11 years

Compact design : Compressible component that can be carried easily in your backpack

Easy to maintain : Machine washable at 86°F, quick drying, and crease-resistant
