The TR130 Kids was redesigned with 6 concepts, developed in conjunction with trainers and kids, to help kids get better from their very 1st swing.
Our designers developed this racket for young, beginning tennis players who are between 3’3″ and 3’6″ in height.
Hand placement
2 zones on the handle indicate the correct hand positioning:
– The dominant hand should grip the handle on the lower, unmarked area
– The second hand – especially for backhands – should be positioned in the striated area.
This ensures good power and stability when hitting the ball.
Racket grip
With its 3 colored markings on the handle, the TR130 Kids helps kids place their hands in the right position for forehands, backhands, and serves.
Kids should be able to see:
– the yellow marking when hitting a forehand
– the white marking when serving
– the gray marking when hitting a backhand
This keeps the racket head in the right place when hitting the ball and ensures the ball is hit properly.
The right stance
When kids receive the ball, they should hold the racket so they can see the face of the person on the frame.
Their legs should be slightly apart and knees bent in what is called a “champion’s stance” to be in the right position to hit the ball.
Second hand placement
When setting up to hit the ball, the second hand plays a key role in stabilizing the racket, ensuring the right movement and keeping the racket’s head high and ready to hit.
The hand should be placed on the throat of the racket.
We put visual and textured markings on the grip to make this easier.
Preparing and finishing the swing
To keep your swing loose and relaxed, we put a small figure at the end of the racket.
At the beginning of the swing, the figure should “watch” the ball coming.
At the end of the swing, it should also “watch” the ball go.
This forces kids to use correct technique throughout and to use a correct, loose, relaxed swing.
Sweet spot
We put a white ball-shaped marking over the sweet spot of the strings.
By aiming to hit the ball with this marking, kids focus on centering the ball and using correct racket positioning.
This ensures they hit the ball in the most effective and comfortable way. In fact, hitting with the center of the racket’s head will produce the most powerful, accurate hits with little vibration.
